The Rotary Club of Bacolod-Marapara, Negros Occidental, is continuing its support of Victorias City’s coastal barangay of Pasil and its plans to expand its already promising Eco-Trail program with the construction of a small bamboo floating restaurant.
The club recently donated eight heavy-duty, 200 liter plastic drums to the barangay’s fisherfolk, who are building the floating restaurant.
These sturdy drums are used throughout the world as flotation devices for docks and swimming platforms and will be ideal for the restaurant.
The fisherfolk plan to finish the restaurant shortly and say it will offer a simple, but unique dining experience for Eco-travelers visiting the area.
