The Philippine Red Cross (PRC) received Php 1.5 million from Foodpanda Philippines as they celebrated their 7th birthday in June. Foodpanda held a birthday raffle campaign during the entire month wherein Php 7.00 was donated to the PRC every time Foodpanda customers ordered goods worth Php 299 and used the code 7DAYBLOWOUT.
PRC Director for Fund Generation Vanesa Lee-Calixto, PRC Manager for SPE RJ Chan, Foodpanda People and Culture Services Judith Tubil Head, Foodpanda Regulatory and Public Affairs Head Rose Romero, Foodpanda Marketing Associate Marga Tulay were present at the turnover event.
“In celebration of our 7th birthday, we are glad to be giving back to our community through our pandaSHARES. At a time when the pandemic continues to negatively affect the lives of many, we’re making the call to keep kindness alive to help those in need, and support those who we serve. Foodpanda has been operating in the country for 7 years, contributing to the economy and growing together with the communities. It had been a great journey for Foodpanda and its communities as we were able to help our communities one delivery at a time,” said Foodpanda Head of People and Culture Services Judith Tubil. “We are grateful to be celebrating with PRC and we are grateful to its officers and staff” she added.
According to PRC Chairman and CEO Sen. Richard J. Gordon “This donation of Php 1.5 million will be able to help uplift the people’s dignity by having the confidence to help themselves and one another. The Philippine Red Cross is very grateful for your efforts in helping us reach out to the most vulnerable.”
