Thank You, Philippines: Shopee Celebrates 10 Years with Holiday Reunion of Vice, Kim, and Jose Mari Chan

Ten Christmases, millions of checkouts, and countless everyday stories later, Shopee – the leading e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia, Taiwan, and Brazil – celebrates its 10th year in the Philippines by reuniting three cultural icons who helped shape how Filipinos experienced online holiday shopping: Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Jose Mari Chan.

Ten years after Shopee landed on Filipino phones, it has become part of daily life — from budol finds, pasabuy, and payday checkouts, to lockdown essentials and holiday jingles we still know by heart.

As Filipino life moved online, Shopee helped families, micro-entrepreneurs, and neighborhood stores go digital, making shopping more accessible and affordable nationwide. What began as a marketplace has grown into a shared habit and cultural moment — not just for what people buy, but for the joy, convenience, and connection behind every “add to cart.”

“A decade here taught us that e-commerce works best when you listen,” said Vincent Lee, Head of Shopee Philippines. “Filipinos shaped how we built Shopee here. We learned how people shop, celebrate, and support each other, and we adapted from there. It shaped everything from our payment and delivery experience to how we bring excitement into every sale season.

We didn’t just grow in the Philippines; we grew by learning with this community. This reunion is our way of saying thank you for welcoming Shopee into everyday life.”

#Shopee10Pasko: A decade-defining reunion

To mark this milestone, Shopee brings back Vice Ganda, Kim Chiu, and Jose Mari Chan – the ambassadors behind its most memorable campaigns.

This reunion brings back the jingles, punchlines, kilig, and countdowns that kicked off the holiday rush; the moments that helped turn Shopee into a modern Christmas tradition.

In the Shopee 10 Pasko film, the trio revisits beloved looks and signature quirks from their early eras, blending nostalgia with today’s energy and celebrating how far Filipinos have come on their online shopping journey.

To celebrate its tenth Christmas, Shopee is rolling out holiday activities inspired by real user moments. Shoppers can share their favorite Shopee memories with #Shopee10Pasko on social media for a chance to receive surprise vouchers via DM; enjoy in-app ₱1,200 worth of vouchers every day through Shopee 12.12 Voucher Pamasko from December 1 to 12; and look back on their milestones with Shopee Unboxed, a personalized year-in-review feature that surfaces key milestones from each shopper’s history, including purchases made as far back as their earliest Shopee days, up to ten years ago.

Platforms evolve, habits evolve, but Shopee’s core remains the same: make shopping simple, joyful, and shared.

Shopee’s next chapter in the Philippines

As Shopee enters its next decade, its focus remains clear: make online shopping faster, more affordable, and more accessible nationwide.

This includes Unlimited Free Shipping, faster VisMin delivery through new air routes, local warehouses, and Fulfilled by Shopee, where orders are packed and shipped directly by Shopee teams so they arrive sooner and often at lower cost. These investments help more communities experience e-commerce convenience while creating jobs and supporting local businesses.

“Our investment in VisMin is personal to us. Fast delivery shouldn’t only be a Metro Manila experience; every Filipino deserves convenience and access, wherever they live,” said Lee.Beyond shopping, Shopee remains committed to empowering MSMEs, local brands, and creators, making digital opportunities possible for more Filipinos. Because here, shopping isn’t just buying – it is about progress, celebration, and connection.
