Suit it Up Manila celebrates 10th year with the return of Suit Social

Luxury, bespoke, versatile. These three words sum up the suits and barongs made by Suit it Up Manila’s team of highly skilled local craftsmen and suit specialists, using only the finest fabrics in the world such as Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil, VBC, and Drago among many others. Suit it Up Manila was also the first to introduce these European brands to the Philippines.

Now in its 10th year, the men’s formal-wear brand is reinventing suit-wearing for the new generation with the return of Suit Social – a gathering of luxury suit enthusiasts. First launched in 2019 with the theme ‘luxurious opulence,’ Suit Social was created to highlight the range of Suit it Up Manila’s suit-making capabilities.

When the pandemic hit, the planned annual celebration was forced to pause. Four years later, it’s back! This time around, Suit it Up Manila aims to emphasize the ‘Evolution of Suiting’ by adding a twist and updating the styles and silhouettes to the brand’s past creations.

Suits that suit you

Gone are the days when the two or three-piece suits were worn only for the office or formal occasions. Men usually opt to get customized suits for big, important life events such as weddings regardless if they are the groom, a guest, or part of the entourage. With Suit Social, everyone gets a glimpse of how Suit it Up Manila reinvents the traditional suits for the new generation.

Recently, waistcoats, vests, trousers, and coats are being worn as separates to elevate a look. One can dress up an errands day outfit with a blazer to put together a look for a night out with friends. What more if the piece is tailored and personalized to highlight the best features of your body?

“We want to show that suits can be worn in more ways, particularly in separates like jacket only, trousers only, vest, or whichever piece that is made especially for them, for their bodies. There’s an added boost of confidence when you dress well. We want them to feel the ‘Suit it Up Life’ experience from the moment they visit our store to the moment they wear our suits in their events,” says Franco Ongkingco, Chief Operating Officer.
