Deputy Speaker and Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar led the ceremonial turnover of the upgraded computer laboratory equipment and newly renovated ICT rooms to Las Piñas City Science High School as she partnered with the leading one-stop shop home store AllHome to provide up-to-date resources to tech-savvy students.
“AllHome fully supports public schools in implementing new learning strategies during this pandemic,” Villar, also the vice-chair of AllHome, said during the ceremony last Sept. 6.
“We are privileged to spearhead this initiative which equips Las Piñas City National Science High School with the facilities needed to ensure continuity in learning among our youth. We are also thankful for the partnership of our suppliers without whom this project would not be possible,” she added.
Aside from facilitating the interior renovations, repairs and styling of the school’s computer labs, the lone district representative and AllHome also donated laptops, projectors, DSLR cameras, office chairs and air conditioning units.
With the help of its top suppliers, AllHome renovated three ICT rooms intended for both students and teachers. Partner suppliers that took part in this initiative include Philippine Insulation Co., Inc., Pro-Wood, Delta Wood Products Corp., Polylite Industrial Corp., Uratex, Midea, Haier and TCL.
Leonora Lustre, principal of LPCNSHS, expressed gratitude to the House official as well as AllHome and its partners. “The pandemic continues to change the way we teach and the way our students learn. We truly appreciate the efforts of AllHome and their partners in helping us fulfil our mandate to deliver quality education to our youth amid this very challenging time.”
The upgraded computer lab and equipment ensure that the campus population will not get left behind. As such, LPCNSHS will be able to adapt to better teaching methods, enhance online learning of ICT subjects, strengthen data and information security and increase learning engagement among students.
AllHome reiterated its commitment to help school kids get the same opportunities and continue improving the lives of Filipinos by implementing more corporate social responsibility projects.
