The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) has long served as a mirror of Filipino imagination, reflecting the stories, struggles, and triumphs that shape the nation’s cultural identity. At its 51st edition, the festival found a new ally in PlayTime Entertainment, a brand undergoing its own transformation as it steps fully into the country’s creative and cultural arena.

From its inception, PlayTime Entertainment has consistently invested in collaborations that champion Filipino artistry in film and cinema, reinforce its role as a steadfast ally of the creative community, and demonstrate its dynamic participation in initiatives that shape the nation’s entertainment landscape.

In partnership with the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), PlayTime Entertainment played an active part across the festival’s most defining moments. The brand was present during various film premieres covering celebrity arrivals, interviewing fans, and documenting the cast as they shared the moment with their supporters. It was also present during the Celebrity Golf Tournament, where some of the most illustrious names in show business gathered for a friendly match and fellowship. It also took to the streets of Makati, joining the festival’s much-awaited Parade of Stars with creative floats marching along with waving artists, promoting and encouraging the public to head to the cinemas. To culminate the local festivity, PlayTime Entertainment showed full support for the highly anticipated Gabi ng Parangal through a livestream on its official Facebook page of the night’s blue carpet with decorated artists and up-and-coming actors, and awarding of the Best Director and Best Picture recipients with monetary tokens.

For the brand, the Metro Manila Film Festival stands as a powerful vehicle for storytelling, creation, and transformation – values that form the foundation of the entertainment company PlayTime Entertainment is becoming.

“Our support for this year’s Metro Manila Film Festival is deeply personal and closely aligned with the direction PlayTime Entertainment is taking,” said Krizia Cortez, Director of Public Relations of PlayTime Entertainment. “The Metro Manila Film Festival has always been a platform for films that provoke thought, challenge perspectives, and inspire conversation. It invites the creative minds to push boundaries, reshape cultural narratives, and elevate Filipino artistry, ultimately transforming how we see and experience Filipino cinema. In many ways, that mirrors PlayTime Entertainment’s mission and vision as a brand.”

The MMFF remains a vital platform for diverse Filipino narratives, and PlayTime Entertainment’s involvement goes beyond presence, taking part in the festival’s core events that celebrate, elevate, and sustain storytelling. Past the local festival circuit, the brand is also joining the MMDA in the MMFF’s international leg in Dubai this January, extending the celebration of Filipino cinema to global audiences and bringing a sense of home to kababayans overseas.

“This partnership represents how we see our role moving forward,” Cortez added. “We’re building our brand to be an entertainment catalyst, one that connects creators to audiences and ensures Filipino artistry continues to grow and resonate. By embedding ourselves in cultural platforms such as the Metro Manila Film Festival, we take an active role in shaping how Filipino stories are produced, presented, and experienced, not just locally, but more so internationally.”

As PlayTime Entertainment continues to expand across entertainment spaces, its involvement in the 51st MMFF signals a long-term commitment to shaping the future of Filipino entertainment—one that honors tradition while embracing innovation and new ways of engaging audiences.
