Do good for others while shopping at SM this holiday season

If there’s one place where we can get all of our shopping done this holiday season, it’s at SM stores. What’s even better is that now you can help feed a kababayan in need every time you shop at SM, thanks to the partnership between SMAC (SM Advantage Card) and Globe’s Hapag Movement.

SMAC and Globe are pleased to announce that until January 15, 2023, SMAC members who shop for select items at the SM Store, SM Beauty, and SM Appliance Center can earn up to 1,000 extra SMAC Points. Half of the extra points they earn will then be donated to the Hapag Movement in time for this season of giving.

Globe’s Hapag Movement leverages on technology and collaboration to help 100,000 families experiencing involuntary hunger through supplemental feeding programs and livelihood support.

In line with the SMAC and Globe partnership, shoppers can earn up to 300 Extra SMAC Points upon purchase of participating items at SM Fashion inside SM Stores. Half of those points will then be donated to the Hapag Movement and other SM Foundation programs.

SM Beauty shoppers can earn up to 500 Extra SMAC points with a corresponding single-receipt purchase, half of which will once again be donated to the charity programs. The same promo applies for SM Appliance Center shoppers who can earn up to 1,000 Extra SMAC Points upon purchase of select appliance items.

“SMAC and Globe’s Hapag Movement want to make it easier for us to help our fellow Filipinos, especially those who continue to suffer from hunger. By simply shopping for our loved ones, we can instantly share our blessings with those in need,” said Jay Beltran, SM Group SAVP Head of Sales and Marketing.

To avail of these promos, shoppers can present their SMAC Start Card, SMAC, or SMAC Prestige Card upon payment in-store or provide their card number when ordering via the SM Store’s Personal Shopper site.

More details about the Hapag Movement can be found on its official page, while shoppers may also visit smac.ph or download the SMAC app to learn more.
